A look into the Ohio market with Agent Jeri O'Brien-Lofgren

Based in Cincinnati Ohio for over 30 years, buying agent Jeri O'Brien-Lofgren has seen the area transform. The median listing home price in Cincinnati in May 2022 was $235K. This is an upward trend of up 6.8% year-over-year. With such a competitive market, Jeri’s clients could use an extra push to get their offers in the door. That’s why she was so happy to find Ribbon. We caught up with her to check-in.

Q: Hi Jeri! Let’s start with a little background. Tell us a bit about yourself.

A: I have been licensed for over 30 years and my entire career has been with Sibcy Cline. I don’t have a "team," but the structure at Sibcy Cline offers me a lot of support with active office managers, a corporate marketing department, Sibcy Home Services, and more.

Q: What motivates you and your work?

My motivation is all about my clients in the Cincinnati area. I have said for years that I have the nicest clients!

Q: How did you hear about Ribbon?

A: Our company chose Ribbon as the best partner for our buyers. The biggest challenge was getting the listing agent to understand what we were offering. The Ribbon coordinator that I was assigned did a great job explaining the program and its benefits to that listing agent.

Q: We’re so happy to hear that. Can you tell us about a buyer experience you’ve had with Ribbon?

A: Ashley was losing out on great houses. This is the craziest market I have ever seen and this very well-qualified buyer could not buy a house. With the Ribbon cash option, she was now a more competitive purchaser.

Q: We're glad we found each other! Can you describe how Ribbon helped you secure your buyer(s) new home?

A: It’s simple! The buyer was able to use all-cash and the closing was guaranteed.

We believe that homeownership should be achievable for all—that’s why we started Ribbon. In hot markets like Cincinnati, Nashville, and Charlotte, multiple offer situations are very common.
